Examples you can recognise the questions in

Illustrative scenarios, not delivered customer projects. They show the situations we work on and the questions we ask — so you can judge whether your project belongs here. Released customer projects will be published once we can evidence them.

10 examples of how a project arrives

The situation and the approach, across all 7 sectors. Illustrative examples, not delivered customer projects: they show which questions we ask and how a requirement is structured. Released customer projects will be published once we can evidence them.

01Automotive

Supplier, drive technology

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

A machining capacity shortfall threatened series delivery to an OEM customer. Two existing suppliers could not hold the required tolerance class consistently.

Approach

Requirement profile drawn up in two days, four pre-checked companies with a suitable machine park approached, and first samples evaluated in parallel.

02Packaging

Manufacturer of packaging machinery

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

Manual final assembly was the bottleneck on the line. In-house there was no experience of specifying and accepting a robot cell.

Approach

Feasibility study with two integration partners, acceptance criteria defined jointly, and commissioning supported over eight weeks.

03Automotive

Electronics manufacturing, 340 employees

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

An MES project had stalled because the works council and the data protection officer would not release the capture of personal machine data.

Approach

Data flows fully documented, a pseudonymisation concept developed, the data-processing agreement renegotiated, and the works agreement drafted jointly.

04Aerospace

Supplier, structural components

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

The only qualified supplier for heat treatment withdrew its capacity. Without a NADCAP special-process approval no component could be shipped.

Approach

Three companies with existing NADCAP approval pre-qualified, first-article inspection to EN 9102 commissioned in parallel, and batch traceability documented back to the raw material.

05Chemicals

Operator, process plant

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

The turnaround window was eleven days and had been overrun two years running. Contractors arrived uncoordinated, and explosion-protection evidence was regularly missing at the gate.

Approach

All trades pulled onto one shared schedule, evidence (SCC**, explosion-protection competence) checked before arrival, and a site coordinator provided for the whole window.

06Marine & Shipbuilding

Shipyard, specialist shipbuilding

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

A new build lacked switchgear with valid class approval. The incumbent supplier could not evidence DNV type approval in time.

Approach

Two switchgear builders with existing DNV type approval approached, salt-spray and vibration evidence checked in the original, and acceptance scheduled together with the class surveyor.

07Chemicals

Plant with 480 employees

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

The move to continuous operation had twice failed to win works council agreement. Workload questions and the premium model had never been negotiated separately.

Approach

Four models calculated against the order profile and the German Working Hours Act, an occupational-health assessment obtained, and the works agreement negotiation under § 87 BetrVG supported through to conclusion.

08Marine & Shipbuilding

Supplier, steel and pipework construction

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

Six welding positions had been vacant for eight months. Applications from abroad were failing on recognition and visas — not on technical suitability.

Approach

Equivalence clarified up front, welder qualification tests to ISO 9606-1 taken already in the country of origin, the accelerated skilled-worker procedure used, and housing arranged before arrival.

09Packaging

Manufacturer, consumer packaging

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

Forklift traffic between extrusion and finishing was both the bottleneck and the plant’s largest safety risk. Two near-misses in one quarter forced the decision.

Approach

Material flow mapped, automated guided vehicles costed against forklift operation, a safety concept for mixed traffic to DIN EN ISO 3691-4 produced, and the fleet control connected over a VDA 5050 interface.

10Aerospace

Supplier, cabin components

Example scenario · not delivered

Situation

A customs audit challenged three years of preference evidence. Supplier declarations were missing or expired, and tariff classification had never been robustly documented.

Approach

Article master re-classified, disputed positions secured through binding tariff information, supplier declarations collected systematically, and the preference calculation built into the master-data process.
